#199: The Power of Parody
As a fan of time travel stories, there is a part of me that would like to see another Back to the Future movie. There is a lot to like about the movies, like the way they manage to weave and reweave the timeline around itself. It's a fun, funny series, and worth the occasional marathon session.
On the flip side, there are several flaws in the series, ones that make me go "no, you know, I don't think I want another Back to the Future." Marty's whole plotline about how he hates to be called "chicken" wasn't even in the first movie, and seems almost counter to the character from the first flick. Then there's the fact that the third movie, as fun as it is, doesn't really tie into the other two flicks -- it's just a fun sidestory.
As interested in a new movie as I would be, I just can't think it's a great idea.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
