#129: Masochism

This Comic's Cast:

I did hate trying to find my way around certain adventure games. King's Quest wasn't even a big game, but trying to track down all the items on the map (which was only 8x8 or something comparable) was a pain.

Police Quest was even worse, with a map of similar size to King's Quest, but that was only an overworld. All the buildings were of a decent size, and most all of the buildings had several "quests" attached to them. Even with a provided map, navigating your way through Police Quest was a chore (one I haven't been bothered to complete even with a full map and a walkthrough open on my desktop).

Old-schools games really were a form of punishment.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
