#224: Just Wandering

This Comic's Cast:

It is true. The basic cavern archetypes are always represented. There's always an ice cave, a fire cave or volcano, an undersea something, and a forest whatever. You always end up in some dungeon, and there are more giant castles than could cover Western Europe.

I blame Final Fantasy, personally. That's the first RPG I can think of that really had all those archetypes covered -- although I'm sure someone could probably point out an earlier game that did it as well.

Poor narrator. He's not programmed for this.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
