#273: Dinner is Served
So I know this is a bit of a cheat. Throughout the series so far, I've made sure to follow all the rules of an adventure game, including showing each and every step the player takes to complete a quest. In this instance, though, I let the player make some choices off screen, all for the sake of humor. I feel, for the sake of humor, this was the best call, and since it's a comic and not a real adventure game, I'll stand behind that decision.
Also, to note, if this were a real adventure game, more than likely the main character would always be on screen. It's rare to see a section of a game where the main character isn't on screen in a classic adventure game -- cut scenes just were not that common.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
