#401: Gotta Build

This is one of those left-turn punchlines, a dramatic shift in tone right at the end to elicit a laugh.
Originally this plotline wasn't going to be able a remodel. Instead, Hanz was supposed to find a gateway to another dimension in the back of a wardrobe (shades of C.S. Lewis). Sadly, I couldn't find sprites of an open wardrobe, so I had to get inventive.
Honestly, I should have started this comic two strips from now (so as to align chapters), but I didn't have any ideas for filler, and I wanted to get this plotline going. To be fair, in the main series the chapters all started to blur together by the end, so I'm okay with this starting a touch early before it really gets going.

I dunno man. Soon as you said ‘portal in a wardrobe’ I thought of the time portal in the cupboard Crono’s gang uses in Chrono Trigger. Not *technically* a wardrobe, but I feel like that would have been a suitable substitute.

I think I thought that too but at the time couldn't find any maps that worked. Sometimes these things just don't come together.

They actually do something heroic.
