Angel: Puts the "Holy" in... something holy...

The Angel. Many have asked just what his history is. Obviously, he's an angel, but what kind of angel, and why is he wander the countryside.

Is he like those Angels from Touched by an Uncle err... Angel, wandering around, fighting badness, saving souls. One day, hoping to earn the right to go back into Heaven, once he's saved enough people, converted enough Jews, torched enough temples and so forth?

Or is he looking for one person he's supposed to save, and everyone else is a bonus? Are they supposed to take God into their soul and be like the Second Coming? Or maybe he's just supposed to learn on his journey, and the one person he finally saves is inconsequential to the big picture.

Or, maybe, just maybe, he was cast out. He did something really bad, like moon God, or got loaded and puked out front of the Pearly Gates. So now he's exhiled until the end of time for being just so bad.

When asked about his past, Angel went into this long rant about being at the beginning, the end, and all eternity and some bullcrap that angels must use to get out of telling embarrassing stories of their youth. Further questions he answered with a "no comment."

I guess we'll never know.
