I reference it a lot because I like Star Trek and I think it's funny to have him reference a show in the distant future that probably hasn't been on the air for hundreds of years. By that token a Doctor Who reference always work, and is seemingly applicable, so it amuses me further to have Darkmoon completely blow it off.

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Villains - #942: Fun Evening http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/villains/2017/11/16

I mean, since I had everyone in town anyway, I may has well have them cross over, right?

If the real Dark Lord is back, in some capacity, I wonder where Succubus's allegiance lies...

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 63: Smell It http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2017/11/15

As we know by now, Darkmoon can smell gold. I think we've actually established that he can smell a few varieties of treasure, but gold is the primary one he goes for. It does seem a little bad, my making a character I established as Jewish and also having him being obsessed with money and gold. Way to play to stereotypes. But I'm Jewish and I found it funny. So, kind of subverting the stereotypes in a way, I guess?

Wed, 15 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #942: Speaking Of http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2017/11/15

Well, we're getting down to the last 50 comics. Most things are, sure, but once in a while he's not the cause of all problems. Of course, he let Angel on the ship, his ship, so it could be argued that, in a round-about way this was also Darkmoon's fault.

So, uh... nevermind then.

Mon, 13 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #941: Confrontation http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2017/11/13

The Legion corpses are stupid easy to kill. Well, when she was just doing repairs at the start, not after he ship was blown up and it grafted onto Darkmoon's ship. That was, admittedly, a little less controlled.

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #940: Front and Center http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2017/11/10

Seriously, back when I brought Legion into the series in DSWC II, I really didn't think I'd be throwing Dracula's corpse into the demonic beast and then having him fight the other legion corpses. Like, this whole plotline came out of nowhere, but then that's what I like about writing my comics the way I do. Random shit like this keeps is strange and lively.

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 59: No One Around http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2017/11/09

I have no plans to get Darkmoon and Katrina back together. Plus, without proper shielding, I doubt any communications gear would work well in a high-radiation environment. So, yeah, that kinda explains that.

Wed, 08 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #939: Growing Powers http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2017/11/08

This little arc is really starting to remind me of Rift Wars, with all the random Dracula showing up and attacking the heroes. It's a different spin on it here, of course, with the whole Legion aspect of it, but still. Shades of that arc over in CVRPG.

Wed, 08 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 57: Save or Kill? http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2017/11/07

Hey, the man knows his weaknesses. It is fun to poke a little extra at Richter's revolving door to the afterlife, though. However, everyone has been captured and Gertie is rebooting. It does seem like the perfect time to steal a pint.

Angel was just recently out in the vacuum of space. That was probably enough of that for him for a while, I'd figure.

Mon, 06 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #938: Must Needs http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2017/11/06

What I really love is that Dracula is now one of the main characters over on the Heroes side while Richter and the evil clones are the main characters over on the Villains side. This comic really does wander anywhere it damn well pleases.

Mon, 06 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Villains - #937: Shifting Sides http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/villains/2017/11/04

I think Hanz really just enjoying being part of something, even if it was a stupid, petty fight. Better than always being on the sidelines.

Sat, 04 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0400 CVRPG - #3000, Part 55: Free Drinks? http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2017/11/03

Angel's just doing what I'd do. Not sure if I like what that says about me. Damn.

I had to do the math on this. Dracula lived in the 1400s. Although some of the Castlevania games take place before this era (lookin' at you, Lament of Innocence), those don't refer to their villain as "Dracula", so we can comfortably say that the Belmonts didn't start fighting a vampire named "Dracula" until the 1400s (and no, we're not even going to consider the Lords of Shadow series).

With this series being set in 2499, that would mean Dracula has been fighting the Belmonts (and their designated successors) for over 1000 years. So Katrina is factually accurate.

Fri, 03 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0400 DSWC: Heroes - #937: Darker Forces http://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2017/11/03

So, wow, that turned quick, eh?

Feels like at this point I should start referencing the Dracula side of Legion as actual Dracula again. And here I thought I wouldn't find another way to bring him back. It seems that no matter how hard I try, Dracula is as integral to this series as Richter. Huh.

Fri, 03 Nov 2017 00:00:00 -0400
