Well, okay, he's a minion of Dr. Frankenstein who has never been featured in this series (and never will because why would I? He may be the real monster of his series, as the Hammer movies showed, but he doesn't appear in Castlevania so there's no reason to show him here). His creature shows up, so having Igor appear makes sense (plus, of course, Igor was in the first Castlevania game, which helps). And since Frankie works for Dracula (or did, anyway), Igor is Dracula's minion. Heck, the entire Souls series (Dark and Demon) is based on being able to read what your opponent is doing and anticipate how to avoid the attacks. This is why I can never play them -- I'm too twitchy to ever be able to handle a game like that. They have firepower and know-how so they serve as a good foil for the Terrans and our heroes. Plus, they're not the kind of enemy to just forget a defeat like this. Keeping the fleet around for a while to harry at our heroes over time make good long-term storytelling sense.</p> <p>Plus they have cool armor.
