Her clone is, though, so it's doesn't feel like a big cheat. Just a bit of fudge, really.</p> <p>I wonder who could be firing. For that matter, what does Sprockets mean? So many questions...</p></div> Mon, 22 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #971: Finishing Evil https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2018/01/22 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/dswc971.png'></div><div><p>I mean, there was one Dracula clone left. Obviously he has to die, too, right? That's been the whole point of this series, aside from the cussing and the drinking and the sex and the dumb dick jokes. Killing Dracula was the goal, right?</p> <p>Honestly, this comic has gone on for so long I've lost track.</p></div> Mon, 22 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Villains - #970: The Pain https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/villains/2018/01/20 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/villains970.png'></div><div><p>I realize it's a bit of a cheat, having the snakes hurt Richter. In Battletoads you were actually supposed to be able to touch the sides of the snakes and ride them around (they were the only way to traverse their level). But that doesn't really work for an attack, so we'll just ignore that part.</p></div> Sat, 20 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 104: Angry Robots https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2018/01/19 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/comic3000zzzz.png'></div><div><p>I'm not sure they actually did anything. Seems like those robots were rather disgruntled to begin with. Someone needs to talk to their supervisor, get them so time off. In some ways he's even worse than Richter, mostly because he's so pathetic. No one likes a Hanz.</p></div> Fri, 19 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 103: Quite the Fight https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2018/01/18 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/comic3000zzzy.png'></div><div><p>It's Darkmoon we're talking about. He can distract anyone with stupid banter and inane prattle. He may be able to turn into a bat, and mist, and live forever, but his true super power is his dumbass field of distraction.</p></div> Thu, 18 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Villains - #969: Slithering Horror https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/villains/2018/01/18 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/villains969.png'></div><div><p>It's been a while since DSWC did one of its weird crossovers. When I was trying to think of what I could have the evil clone do, it occurred to me that he uses snakes as his whip. It's part of his sprite sheet and, if you have ever noticed, he does indeed use snakes for his whip. That comes from the evil Simon clone for the x68k Castlevania remake and I kept it as a thing all the evil clones should have.</p> <p>Since we had little snakes as his whip it seemed like a great item crash for the whip would be giant snakes. Thus we have the Battletoads snakes make an appearance as his screen filling item crash. These are the kinds of things I love doing with this stupid little comic.</p></div> Thu, 18 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 102: Looping Back Around https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2018/01/17 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/comic3000zzzx.png'></div><div><p>Just in case it wasn't clear, Angel is going back to the comic with his time loop and finding the right position for himself there. That's why he's crossing over the top of an already written comic. I liked messing with this format a little and having Angel do some weird shit with an already existing comic -- I think it's strange and dynamic and it entertained me -- but I know sometimes when I get too experimental with the layouts things can get confusing for the readers so... just in case, there ya go.</p></div> Wed, 17 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #969: Commiseration https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2018/01/17 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/dswc969.png'></div><div><p>I'm starting to feel like the little Dracula is not exactly merged with the big Legion anymore. Maybe shedding all it's weird bodies severed the connection? Would make a certain amount of sense if you think about it.</p></div> Wed, 17 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 101: In and Out https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2018/01/16 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/comic3000zzzw.png'></div><div><p>Hey, we did see Angel warp in and out in the engineering section. Plainly he's got to get back to that point, right? Sometimes his own timeline is just silly and dumb. I swear I think he does it just to annoy us all.</p></div> Tue, 16 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Villains - #968: Don't Quit Yet https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/villains/2018/01/16 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/villains968.png'></div><div><p>It's all a ploy, I'm sure. I doubt Richter has any plans to actually die. Not yet, and not with another dude. I imagine he thinks he'll die in bed, surrounded by dozens of nubile women. That seems like the Richter way to go out.</p></div> Tue, 16 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 100: Just Dropping In https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2018/01/15 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/comic3000zzzv.png'></div><div><div id="achievement-block"><img src="/uploads/achievements/cvrpg_3000zzzv.png" alt="Achievement Unlocked!"></div> <p>Oh, I have plans for Angel. I think his little journey her will pay off nicely, comedically speaking.</p> <p>Well, Darkmoon is certainly making good use of that mist form while he has it. Of course, unless bad guys are directly on his ship, I don't see him getting a lot of use out of it out in space. Planet-side, sure, but it's applications are limited in a sci-fi setting. Which is exactly why it felt like a good time to give it to him. "Look, you can do this cool thing, but most of the time you just won't need to. Enjoy!"</div> Mon, 15 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #968: Split Personality https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2018/01/15 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/dswc968.png'></div><div><p>This whole plotline has gotten so weird. And that's weird by DSWC standards. That's saying something.</p></div> Mon, 15 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Villains - #967: Going Down https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/villains/2018/01/13 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/villains967.png'></div><div><p>Falling to your deaths is certainly one way to ensure mutual destruction, I will give him that. Neat and tidy. Well, except for the mess where they land. Less tidy on that account.</p></div> Sat, 13 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - Super Special Comic #3000: Super Special Part #100 https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2018/01/12 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/comic3000xxx.png'></div><div><p>Well, we've gone and done it. We had a Super Special Comic arc go so long that it had it's own Super Special milestone. Welcome to Part 100 of Comic #3000. We're all monsters.</p> <p>I knew going in that Comic 3000, which is the entirety of the Xenophobic arc, would be about 150 comics or so (give or take depending on how long I drag stuff out). I really didn't think about doing a milestone comic for it but once we approached #100, it seemed like the thing to do. I mean, we've already done comics that don't count, half-comics, multi-part comics, so why not have a milestone inside a milestone. That feels of-a-piece with how CVRPG runs.</p> <p>Also, just like with the very early milestone comics I used to do, this comic is the 100th in the Xenophobic arc but isn't actually numbered "100". Because reasons.</p> <p>Although... shit, now I have to find a way to get my numbering back on track. Damn it...</p></div> Fri, 12 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #967: Two Minds https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2018/01/12 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/dswc967.png'></div><div><p>I've done a number of different arcs (here and in CVRPG) featuring duplicates of characters. Dracula and his Legion clones is just the most recent version, but I do feel like this is at least a different kind of twist on the material. Plus it's amusing to me to have him talk to something that in no way looks like him anymore and yet still consider it to be part of him. There's an interesting dynamic at play there.</p></div> Fri, 12 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 CVRPG - #3000, Part 99: Lurking Close Behind https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/comic/2018/01/11 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/comic3000zzzu.png'></div><div><p>If Angel gets really thrown off he can show up anywhere. I'm not sure if that means he's in the middle of a giant gooey ocean on another planet, or in an entire other ultra gooey universe. Could go either way, really.</p></div> Thu, 11 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Villains - #966: A Better Solution https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/villains/2018/01/11 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/villains966.png'></div><div><p>Oh, he's not killing himself. I remember them most prominently being featured in the Original Series and decidedly less so from there on. A couple of them did show up in the new-boot, Star Trek 2009, and not as "slave girls", so yay for progress!</p></div> Wed, 10 Jan 2018 00:00:00 -0500 DSWC: Heroes - #966: Respect https://www.cvrpg.com//archive/dswc/2018/01/10 <div><img src='https://www.cvrpg.com/comics/dswc966.png'></div><div><p>I've been watching a lot of British dramas recently.
