After a bit of a break, here we are with the commentaries for Game 3 of CVRPG (CVRPG III: Rise of the Machines, CVRPG III: First Blood Part III, CVRPG III: Tokyo Drift). Game 3 is one I remember enjoying during the first half of the writing process, but (not unlike Gaiden), I seem to remember running out of creative steam half-way through.

We'll discuss that more, though, since I don't want to spoil anything for new readers just yet.

One thing I will note right now is that the new logo iks cool looking, but impossible to work with. I liked the idea of the stylized III I made, which evokes the art style of the logo from Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow, but the logo was just so huge. It was hard to place any characters around it, since most of the time they felt like they were floating in space. It was the largest logo I'd made yet for the series, and I pretty well learned my lesson after that.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
