As we saw with Darkmoon, these guns can be quite unwieldy if you aren't prepared for them. Setting them up, braced and ready, is probably the best plan if you want to survive firing them more than once.

This is what burst fire is for. Also, someone in this world needs to look into recoil absorbing armour. I mean, if you're going to have full body armour you may as well make it useful.

i think the fact the recoil knocks them on their Butt is the problem, makes it rather hard to aim.

I think the issue is that they only have "armor". Dropping that "u" structurally weakens the armour, making it less useful.
