#2722: Danger Over?

This Comic's Cast:

While I may have ended the battle with Golem before the guys found a way out of it themselves, it served a couple of purposes all on its own.

Firstly, it clearly establishes that there are limits to the power of the glamour. It can wear off with enough time and distance from the faeries. It's an important note and one I will probably rely upon later.

Secondly, it gave us a battle which we really hadn't done in a while. Although I do find that battles take up a lot of comic pages and can be tedious after a while, this is an RPG comic so battles are part of the story. Have to have them once in a while to break up all the random talking.

Third, it's always fun to see Darkmoon and Angel get beat up. That, really, was the whole point of the sequence.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
