Jewish mothers have a lock on the market when it comes to guilt. Catholics certainly have their share of guilt (mostly from Jesus and God and masturbating -- probably all at once, really), but no one can beat a Jewish mother for laying it on thick. A good Jewish mother can guilt you with her eyes. A serious Jewish mother can guilt you with a quiet pause... over the phone. It's incredible, a sight to behold.
When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...
