#544: It Burns!

Achievement Unlocked!

Another combo tech spell, this time with all three characters participating. In Chrono Trigger, that would be a "triple tech", and it would be totally awesome (and pretty deadly), although, arguably in that game the single techs were more powerful (and more flexible) than most of the combo attacks (especially by the end of the game).
Of course, here, our heroes are still fairly weak, so a good triple tech would probably be quite useful right now. Although, I seem to recall there's a reason we don't see many more of these...

Actually there is one Triple Tech in Chrono Trigger that is arguably at its most useful at the end of the game. I don't recall the name of it right off hand, but it requires Chrono, Marle, and Robo to perform. It's a pre-emptive life spell (if someone dies then they get revived), which is extremely handy against Lavos's Core and Final Form, until you are near the level cap.

Depending on the attack, sure. I was always partial to the Chrono/Ayla Falcon Strike, which was super powerful way early in the game. That said, having to line all your characters up for a triple tech meant the fast characters were standing around when they could have been attacking, which took away the flexibility I was nodding towards.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
