#559: Cleric Tricks
This Comic's Cast:
There's the hiring process, what with taking applications, reviewing C.V.s, weeding out lesser applicants (those without the requisite skills or additional experience that isn't, technically, required but is helpful none-the-less).
Then you have to call applicants back (presuming they're a Crystal Ball subscriber -- otherwise you have to send out couriers), weed through the responses for those who are still interested in the job. And then you have to conduct interviews (probably at least two rounds), and weed out anyone that has, since applying, then taken a job elsewhere.
Plus, for all you know, your first choice may not be available anymore.
In all seriousness, you need a clerk on staff just to handle the hiring of a clerk. Damn.
