#881: No Summons

Yeah, so apparently (since this is now the second time we've seen it), setting a bird on fire and having him attack someone else is NOT a double-tech. Done and done.
We presume Other-Alec doesn't have a lot of energy primarily because he's not a Holy Warrior. Warriors (fighters, paladins, rangers, etc.) are high in health. Priests are lower, and pure spell-casters are at the low end of the health pool.
This Alec isn't much for weapons, so if he's a spell-caster (which, considering the kinds of spells he's attempting, like the summoning of an Elder God) then likely he just doesn't have a lot of health. Couple that with already losing a fair bit in the battle, and we can assume he's gotta be almost out.
Plus, remember, he's an evil mage/cleric/whatever. He doesn't have light magic at his disposal, so he can't heal himself (only drain energy off others). He's kinda screwed.

In his first appearance Evil Alec had a pretty decent spell called 'Dark Blessing' that healed his entire party for 666hp... It started this whole THING, with our heroes criticizing Good Alec for not having any healing that awesome and Alec defending that he'd lose his soul to use that... Etc. Etc.

True, but I can easily explain that away by saying he'd recently made a sacrifice before that very first encounter, whereas here Evil Alec is sacrifice-dry, thus unable to perform that spell. A simple handwave and everything works out. ;)

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
