#920: Golem's Story, Part 2

This Comic's Storylines:

It's the stereotype about dwarves (if a fictional race can have stereotypes) that all dwarves think about are gold and ale. It's a true stereotype in the CVRPG universe (no one said stereotypes can't be true), but I think a lot of that is due mostly to a lack of good dwarf sprites from the 16 bit era. if there had been more to work with, I might have fleshed out their culture better.
As it is, this is the only major appearance of dwarves for most of the main story of CVRPG, and even still, it's a backstory.

Heck, even if you go to the 'dwarves' of Norse Mythology you're not that terribly wrong. I used the quotes there, as without being told what the person was a Norse 'dwarf' doesn't look anything like the common concept of a dwarf, they just have most of the same personality and culture traits.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
