Shade Man, everyone, Robot master from Mega Man 7. He looks kinda retarded there, and isn't much better here. Like a reject from Die Fledermaus. Mega Man 7 was when I lost interest in that series, primarily because of Shade Man. It just felt like that series totally lost its way (although some could argue the same point with Centaur Man and Mega Man 6).
Fans were happy to see Shade Man, though (for some reason -- I feel he's just ridiculous). He doesn't seem as weird in this comic, just because, by and large, everything in this series is ridiculous.

I never got into Mega Man all that much until the X games, although there I'm still hoping that someday Capcom will do an X9. The 'secret' ending of X8 (beat the game on Hard difficulty with Axel, which if it is a carry over save at the start isn't that hard as then you can have the Ultimate Armor for X, Black Armor for Zero, and/or White Armor for Axel) is so open it really needs another entry to resolve it. Either that or else there's something else that released in Japan that never made it state side (just like the Mega Man X anime).

There was supposed to be an X9 at one point, but Capcom put the kibosh on that. Sad, since there are apparently a lot of fans itching for a ninth entry in the series.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
