To be fair, both plotlines have been dragging for so long, it's hard to keep track of what's going on anymore. *sigh*
I swear I have no clue what the two of them were planning. I think they just got into a good planning groove and lost all narrative focus in the process. Knowing my characters, it probably evolved into a plan to take over France. That happens a lot in my universe.
