#1384: Tracking Them Down

This Comic's Storylines:

Blah blah blah, talk talk talk. This is all necessary to the plot, but it doesn't give me much to discuss. So...

One thing I have to deal with when writing Samus (although not here specifically) is trying to reconcile her story with whatever I have going on. Would she be privy to this, has she already been through that. There's only one Samus, which means she has a very definite timeline I have to respect when writing her stories.

Link, on the other hand, can be written any way I want. Because he's only "based" on the Link to the Past Link I have free reign to craft and mold him -- every game seems to have a different Link with different experiences (hell, Link's Awakening was originally billed as a sequel to Link to the Past, and now it's so far removed on the Zelda timeline that there's no way the two Links are even related). I get full creative control over him in a way I never can with Samus.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
