#1396: Motivational

This Comic's Storylines:

Yes, this guy is kind of a twit. I didn't want him to be likeable -- he has a job for the heroes, and as far as he's concerned they can do their job or shove it. He's powerful enough to place them wherever he wants, and if they want to spend the rest of their lives in this alternate dimension never to see home again, that's fine by him.

Yeah, he's a real charmer.

When I read stories like this my normal thought is, “If this clown is strong enough to force the heroes to fight for him against their will, he must BY DEFINITION also be stronger than the enemy he wants them to face, so he doesn’t he just fight the damn thing himself?”

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
