#1432: Spoils of Success

This Comic's Storylines:

Achievement Unlocked!

It's not that big a leap of logic for the characters, really. In most RPGs, items are just randomly dropped. The Castlevania series normally does the same thing, except for a few key items. A lot of the best equipment is hidden away and you have to fight enemies over and over to get them.

Adventure games, of course, are different with every item being hidden in one spot for you to find it. Most of these characters haven't played in adventure games (Richter included, really, since his version of SotN didn't have any hidden items, and the PSP Rondo re-release wasn't out when this comic came out) so they wouldn't think about special items like this.

Samus should have, though. She was slacking.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
