Using baseball terms for sex isn't as anachronistic as it may first seem. Bat-and-ball games of various kinds were played as far back as the 1300s, meaning some form of baseball rules probably did exist, and they could be used to describe sex.
Calvinball, on the flipside, has no rules and is generally just a random melee on the field running in, out, down, and around bases until someone is tagged out (possibly in a scrum). That sounds like a much more interesting version of sex.
