Darkmoon has been in Hell a number of times, as has Bucky (Bucky enters and exits at will, it seems). Link has even been there a few times, and I think Angel ended up there at least once (in a flashback).
Far as I can remember, though, Alec has not ended up in Hell before this. He's too good a person... up until now, apparently.
