And so Alucard leaves our story once again, this time to go clubbing with a blonde. As is his way.

Part of me thought about keeping Alucard around a little longer, since I keep having him show up. Maybe he and Bucky could confront the minotaur together... but I felt like that would take away from Alec and his story, and this is supposed to be Alec's story (Bucky's little diversion notwithstanding). Gotta let Alec handle the heroing.

Plus, Alucard has become so prevalent in the various Castlevania games -- showing up when he's needed, and having a strong hand in the plotlines of most modern games -- that I liked the idea of having Alucard show up here and NOT do anything important. Nicely inverted his whole purpose.

Hmmm... So I've been doing an archive trawl (Oh God I've spent weeks reading this comic O.O) and I could have sworn that Bucky was killed by Camilla during the first Town Elders election. Massive fire spell and all. Conceivably Bucky is a different chicken, but he did show up shortly after in hell with Link... I think... Your archives are huge and mildly intimidating, and yet amusing enough to keep me coming back again and again...

Yeah, I never considered them to be the same chicken. There are A LOT of chickens in any particular Zelda game, and I figured the chickens featured here (unless otherwise named) worked the same way. I do see how you thought it was the same chicken, though -- I was never specific about it, and the timing was good for it. Good luck in the archives. ;)

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
