#2431: Dracula? What?

This Comic's Storylines:

This Comic's Cast:

After a couple of comments on the comic, it felt like it would be a good idea to address what's going on with Dracula head-on. The thing to remember is that, as far as Castlevania main-continuity is concerned, the game farthest in the "future" is Dawn of Sorrow circa 2036 AD.

(Of course, by the Lords of Shadows continuity, that game would be Lords of Shadows 2 circa 1999 AD. But that part of the series came out after CVRPG and doesn't mesh with this series at all, so we'll ignore it).

So, these comics are taking place over 450 years after the last time we've seen any hint of Dracula. Far as we know, Soma Cruz, hero of Dawn of Sorrow (and potential Dracula reincarnate -- spoilers!) is the last trace of Dracula... until now.

So yeah, Dracula comes and goes, but for a long while now there's been relative peace. That just bores Darkmoon.

I would pay many quarters / tokens to play a 4 player beat-em-up arcade game featuring the CVRPG cast. Just sayin.

Your author avatar character is less amusing and a lot more obnoxious now that it can actually look like you rather than being 'Indistinct trenchcoat wearing mullet sprite'.

Z2: Considering it's me, talking in my voice, that seems a rather rude thing to say, actually.

Okay, I guess I can see that now. It's a little hard to tell since we don't have a very significant reference pool yet.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
