#2729: Strange Sensations

This Comic's Storylines:

The point of this strip is to illustrate that despite her new form, Gertie the ship is still Gertie and she still considers herself "in a relationship" with Golem. There may be some adjustments once Golem is back on the ship, but for now she's committed to seeing where this whole "relationship" thing goes.

Some people wondered about that in the comments, so I figured it was a good idea to address that head on.

Another thing I want to address, though, was that while I like this comic, and I think the strip is funny, I wasn't sure if it would piss anyone off. Specifically having the golem-ship cry foul when the black guy touched her. I'm saying now, before anyone else does, that I saw how it could be construed that way. Unfortunately there are only so many characters on the ship, fewer still who are male (as in, there's only one) so if I was gonna do this bit, I had to use Claypool for it.

Sorry if anyone takes offense. That was poor pre-planning (as in none) months ago when I set up this plotline to not realize some stuff might come up that could ruffle feathers.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
