Although he's mostly just bantering with himself, it is fun to write Darkmoon's back-and-forth dialogue. "Well it could be this, or this, but this, and this, and..." Always a good time.

He does have a point, though. Totally the fault of the soldiers, obviously.

I think Angel did the right thing. . . for the most part. He could have wound up killing a few innocents instead of annoying some brass and royalty. But, when someone throws a grenade at someone else they have the options to; stand still, dive for cover, or get rid of the grenade. Since standing still is very stupid and gets you killed it's the last thing our heroes will do. As I recall they were in a corridor, a place that doesn't accomodate much dodging, Leaving the option to get rid of the grenade which Angel is very suited to. No, they screwed up by being seen. I wonder if one of them actually has some way to make themselves beneath notice and just forgot about it. That sounds vaguely like something they would do. Definitely something I would do playing video games.

It wouldn't surprise me if Darkmoon had managed to cultivate a skill like that. Golem's magic doesn't seem to work that way and I think Angel is a little too full of himself to even check to see if he had that power.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
