Actually, as per There's a Game in this Book (my RPG I wrote), casting stones would be very easy, especially for a mage of Claudette's caliber. It's a level one spell, very easy for her to pull off. Casting stones should be quite easy, although considering she and Katrina are both wild mages, I'm sure it could also go catastrophically wrong.
