Question #7: What If...?

This Comic's Cast:

I wanted to do a what if arc since... hell, that car ride with Mab, actually. We had a bunch of dumb ideas, a number which did end up in the abandoned stories archive simply because I knew they'd never get made and there was no point holding on to them. But then What If... yeah, that one I wanted to do but it just never fit in at all. Better to crank them out now, in this format, to at least show off the weird ideas.

The Heroes as Power Rangers is dumb. At max it would have been five or so strips doing this story. But I'm not a big power rangers fan so the most it would have been was dumb, cheap shots at the series from an outsider's perspective. Not really that great of material, let's be honest. Still, drawing them in the power rangers suits woulda been amusing.

I'm not a big Power Rangers fan, although like a lot of people my age, I did watch and like the show enough to get through the first few arcs. A Power Rangers AU is always appealing, though, and the way a sentai series revolutionized pop culture is always amazing. It would have beem nice.

Were I a couple of years younger, so I was actually in the right age range to like Power Rangers, I'm sure I would have done the Power Rangers arc here. But then, were I that age I would have also gotten into Pokemon, I'm sure (a game series I still have yet to play) and more Poke-references likely would have appeared in the comic as well.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
