#27: Out and About

This Comic's Cast:

I do have to curse Dam for this. I promised, as a joke, long ago that Kirby and Ness wouldn't ever appear in the comic again (they were in the top panel of one comic, and I've stuck to it). Why did I promise that? Well, I'd not really ever played the Earthbound series (Mother in Japan, I know I know). Trying to write Ness would have been weird and I would have gotten his character all wrong (unlike with Samus where I've played her games and still managed to get her character all wrong, a decision I stand behind so screw you fanboys).
As for Kirby, I never really felt like he'd fit into the comic. I can work him into DSWC no problem, but trying to find a way to work a giant pink puffball that can eat anything into CVRPG, well... just doesn't seem like it would work.
Plainly, as Damaris proves here, I was wrong.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
