DSWC Villains Introduction #4: The Minions

This Comic's Cast:

When it comes to the Castlevania series, three minions stand out as Dracula's top lieutenants: Shaft, Death, and Carmilla. Carmilla we'll get to in a couple, but of the other two...

Shaft only appeared in two games, but one of them was Symphony of the Night, the single most-successful game in the series. That game propelled Shaft higher than even Death in terms of ranking among the minions.

It sucks for Death, as he's been the stalwart ally of Dracula, there in every game, always defending his chosen master. And for that to all get thrown out because one game starring Dracula's poncey son...

Olrox has shown up in a couple of games, and he's an interesting case. Technically, Olrox and Dracula should be the same character. Olrox is based on the theatrical character Count Orlock, star of the movie Nosferatu. Nosferatu was a bootleg version of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Olrox > Orlock > Dracula. Fascinating (maybe fascinating only to me, but still).

And, of course, Frankie and Mummy who ended up being paired up because of the sister comic CVRPG, and now are inseparable in my mind.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
