#29: Die Fuhrer
The original Wolfenstein 3d was released as a shareware title. The first of six episodes was free, but if you wanted to play any of the further adventures, then you had to pay. In total there were six mission sets, and in each you start off somewhere at the beginning of the Nazi dungeon of the day and battle your way through to the end boss -- usually some super-mech with giant guns waiting to kill your sorry ass.

And yet, in the next mission, you start back at the beginning of the new dungeon with just a rinky dink pistol and your gun. What happened to all your weapons and ammo? For that matter, what happened to all the treasure you collected.

Just weak.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
