#585: End of Year One

This Comic's Storylines:

Achievement Unlocked!

The big issue with a prequel such as this is how do we do a big enough climax that the story feels like it was worth telling, and yet not completely kill the momentum for the plot threads coming up in the next game (which was, technically the previous game, just showing how confusing it can be to do prequels).

But, I suppose it was better to get the prequel out of the way now rather than doing it much later in the run (where there would have been no narrative momentum). And, as it was, I setup a lot of little plot threads that will all end up paying off much, much later. Bwahahaha.

For those of you taking your first full dive through the full archive, it's time to head into CVRPG II, the next big game in the series. You may want to grab a refresher on the story from the first game, otherwise, feel free to move right along into the second game in the series, picking up right now...

Just finished Bunny Tales. Now I playing FF Mobius, and I am imagining Darkmoon in that world. Wakes up, not remembering what happened last night, surrounded by other people who look similar to him. A weird voice starts talking in his head. Then finds out all of the other blanks think their name is Darkmoon. Then meets Garland. Apparently this game is a different take on FF1, except you battle (mostly) alone bolstered by the souls of monsters you captured. Still, I could see Darkmoon rocking this world.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
