#642: Homecoming?

I don't know. Those buildings look pretty destroyed to me. Fire, earthquake, whatever -- this place was killed and the earth pretty well salted.
For those that have read Katrina's backstory, Spell Failure, you might note that the backgrounds used there are from different games than this shot of the village. Here, we're seeing a destroyed village from Breath of Fire, while Spell Failure used a variety of sources (very few of which were breath of Fire).
This shot was great for what it needed to be -- show a destroyed village -- but I just didn't have enough maps to be able to do an in-depth storyline using sprites for the BoF series.

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
