Well yeah, what is a golem to do if he doesn't have any "duties" assigned. Despite being "free", golems still have the abiding need to do SOMETHING. Can't reprogram them that much. Golems are meant to work.
Of course, he'll be in for a bit of surprise once he finds out how LITTLE work our heroes actually do.
