#1017: Through the Doors

Romeo and Juliet is presumed to have been written around 1585 AD. So there's a finite start date for the series. CVRPG has to take place sometime after 1595 AD (presumably with enough time for more than one production of the British play to make its way to Romania).
This works perfectly for my expected "start" date of the series being no later than 1700 AD. That gives a hundred years or so for the play to have made its way over (repeatedly), and conveniently Dracula had two in-continuity resurrections where he could have seen the play before being killed by a Belmont (Belmonts being such harsh critics of the Bard's works).
I will hold off on doing a long discussion of the continuity of the Castlevania series -- if I ever get the revamp of ICVD completed, that will be the place for a discussion of that nature.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
