#1037: Scenes from a Battle

I think this is one of the last times I used that magic casting frame for Alec. I retired it around the time Alec got his new outfit, and I don't even have it on the "official" sprites sheets for him anymore.
It was a contribution to the comic from past sprite artist Winged Destiny (whose real name I never found out, which makes it very awkward for the credits of the site), but I think it was based on sprites from another RPG series.
I much prefer to try and keep CVRPG's sprites 100% custom (except in the case of Shredder and Krang, and, let's be honest, they've only real shown up in one series, and then as cameos after that), so, really, the retirement of that frame was inevitable.

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...
They actually do something heroic.
