I had to put a delay in place for the construction of the altar since Alec and his crew(s) aren't ready to get to the Sorceress just yet. If she gets too far ahead of them, the game is over for our heroes.
Admittedly I could have just relied on the "within three days" and let it stall that way, but this way is funnier.
