Question #5: Do What You Want!

This Comic's Cast:

"Bucky the Vampire Slayer" was an interesting idea in theory but would have been terrible in practice. I tried to give Bucky his own storyline, I think back in CVRPG III, and man, it just didn't work. Having a hero that can't talk is great in an JRPG but terrible in a dialogue-driven webcomic. The second I tried, and failed, to let Bucky lead his own subplot I knew the writing was on the wall here.

I did, however, create some test art for this proposed series (which likely would have run in place of DSWC during one of the many times that comic supposedly ended, before it really ended) and it was the first time I really thought about drawing stuff for CVRPG instead of just doing sprites. I liked the idea, but had to find a different way to realize it.

Not all of the jokes would have landed with his accent, either.

It is a very thick brogue. You have to have an ear for it.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
