#1: Like King's Quest Meets Leisure Suit Larry

This Comic's Cast:

I'm rather fond of the old graphic text adventures, such as King's Quest, Space Quest, and their Sierra-made ilk. They were great games, and I grew up during their heyday. I remember plowing through King's Quest, collecting the three magical items. I remember trying to answer the "age verification" test at the start of Leisure Suit Larry, over and over again, until I finally got into the game (this was something you had to do every time). I remember failing, horribly, at being a cop in Police Quest (damn if that game wasn't picky).

Playing back through King's Quest recently, I realized doing a comic in the style of these old adventures would make for an interesting comic, something outside the bounds of the normal storytelling I do here.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
