#212: A Shot to His Ego

This Comic's Storylines:

This comic amuses me greatly. It's certainly one of my favorites.
The top half, of course, is still dealing with the fall out of Shaft vs. Katrina. Apparently, Shaft failed to get certain memos as well.
It does raise the point, though, of what kind of school sends a sorceress to apprentice with an evil sorcerer. Of course, if you want more info on that, you should go read Katrina's backstory, "Spell Failure", which is in the bonus archives. I'll leave that bit alone for now...
As for the bottom half, it was a completely random gag that I came up with out of the blue. Alec and Darkmoon, in the last panel, is one of my favorite scenes from the whole series. Classic, and it proves the vaule of improv comedy.

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
