#1068: End of Game 2 (and a Bit)

So yeah, here we are at the end of the second full arc of the series (CVRPG II and Gaiden). I think the games had their highs and lows this time around. Certainly CVRPG II was more off the cuff than the first game, and may have wandered a bit (and certainly had a couple of glaring plotholes that I noticed only after reading through it a second time), but I rather liked the scope of that game and where it went.

Gaiden was fun as just a proof-of-concept adventure, plus for once we really defeated Dracula, so that's nice. Of course, it had its slow part in the middle, and maybe I should have created more maps ahead of time before launching into it. But yeah, on the whole I'm very pleased with these games so far.

Now let's just see what kind of trouble I can get up to in CVRPG III. If you've already gone through our previous recommendations for side-arcs and bonus comics, then you should be just about ready to read the third big game in the series. Now loading...

When evil spreads across the land, and darkness rises and the monsters roam. When the creatures of the night make beautiful music, and the things that go bump in the night go bump with greater enthusiasm. When the world is in peril and is in need of a hero...

These guys are, sadly, the best the world can hope for. These are the adventures of the heroes of CVRPG. They mean well, they try hard, and occasionally they do the impossible...

They actually do something heroic.
